We are a family run company specializing in the replacement of oil storage tanks using our own engineers to carry out all the works, we carry out all types of oil tank installations and replacements from small domestic tanks to larger commercial installations. All of our work is carried out in accordance with the Oftec and Environmental Agency guidelines.
As fuel storage is covered by building regulations, a free of charge site survey is carried out to discuss your requirements regarding the capacity and type of tank you require, an Oil Storage Tank Risk Assessment is carried out and we explain what is required to comply with current regulations, should it be necessary, a written fixed quotation is then provided.
The replacement of oil tank consists of the following procedure.
Check the tank for the presence of water,
Transfer the fuel from the existing tank in to a holding tank,
Remove and dispose of the old tank in accordance with current regulations,
Construct/modify the base as required to support the new tank,
Install the new tank, complete with a new valve, filter and gauge,
Connect to the existing oil line,
Transfer the fuel to the new tank,
Bleed the system.

We recommend a tank inspection every two years, which include a visual inspection of the oil tank for integrity, the oil line/joints for weepage and test the tank for water.
The presence of water in an oil tank can damage the burner and encourage a bacterial growth in the oil tank, this can block oil lines, damage the burner and contaminate the fuel.
We recommend the oil line if buried be pressure tested every five years for integrity.
All our work is carried out by our own Oftec trained and registered engineers and fully insured.
